WHY SHOULD WE CHOOSE TROPICAL DREAM VILLA?

I think I can sum it up in just 9 words – luxury, comfort, space, privacy, amenities, location, customer service and of course value.

Tropical Dream Villa also has SPACE! If you, like us, have tried hotels where the whole family is crammed into one cramped bedroom with one bathroom, one TV and nowhere to sit in the evenings then you will revel in everything that Tropical Dream Villa has to offer. Not only that, but we put a high price on privacy – whilst we love our children and family or friends, being able to have some privacy when on holiday could make the difference between a holiday to remember, and one you just want to forget!

But what is also exceptional is our wonderful extra large pool, which is completely private as we have no other pools to overlook us as well as being fully fenced, and tropically landscaped to provide a haven of peace and seclusion. That is a rarity amongst villa in Orlando, but we know you will appreciate its seclusion and privacy. Just think, you won’t be sitting on your pool deck looking directly into another pool enclosure, watching dozens of other people jumping into their pools. With the privacy afforded by Tropical Dream Villa you will be able to sit on the lanai in the morning to eat your breakfast in your dressing gown, with only the odd gekko to watch you.

As for amenties, well Tropical Dream Villa has the lot – from TVs and DVD players in each and every bedroom, to bathrobes in the main bedrooms, from toys for the children to play with  to a novel to read whilst you sun yourself on the pool deck. There is also a huge communal swimming pool with cabana within walking distance, golf on site, tennis and basketball courts as well as a stunning 400 acre Lake in a conservation area you will have everything you need.

Of course our location is much sought-after, being in Zone A of Disney, the closest zone to the parks. Tropical Dream Villa is very close to the main Theme Parks and all attractions, as well as being 2 minutes away from new restaurants and shops – including a huge Super Walmart and 2 Publix supermarkets. But the gorgeous Florida countryside is just a stone’s throw away too, so you can be ‘where its at’ but close to orange groves and lakes.

HOW NEAR IS TROPICAL DREAM VILLA TO THE THEME PARKS?

Tropical Dream Villa is on a prime location, just 6 miles from Disney. However, since the opening of the new road, just 3 miles away which leads directly into Disney you can be on Disney property even faster.

Universal and Islands of Adventure are approximately 20-25 mins away, as is Seaworld and Wet and Wild.

WHAT ABOUT SAFETY?

Tropical Dream Villa is fully licenced and complies with all safety regulations and provides smoke alarms, fire extinguisher, emergency lighting, and of course a pool alarm to protect your children from accidental drowning. Our new pool alarm, which has control buttons on the inside and the outside also allows you to access the pool area and villa without disturbing sleeping children, whilst maintaining safety.

WHAT MAKES YOUR NON-SMOKING VILLA DIFFERENT?

Many villas advertise themselves as no-smoking, but they allow smoking on the pool deck. Some guests ignore requests to smoke outside only and this leads to the stale smell of smoke inside as well as outside.

In order to maintain our home as 100% smoke free we do not allow smoking ANYWHERE inside Tropical Dream Villa or outside in the garden or on the pool deck, so you will not walk into our home and smell the stale smell of smoke, nor will the lanai be ingrained with smoke smells.

Our policy is very strict and is maintained by our Management Company.

Tropical Dream Villa has been designated a 100% smoke free area, and this is much appreciated by all our discerning no smoking guests

IS TROPICAL DREAM VILLA PET FREE, TOO?

Our home is designated 100% pet free, and is therefore ideal for anyone with allergies. We do not accept any animals, in order to ensure that our home is suitable for those with allergies.

IS THE VILLA AIR CONDITIONED?

Tropical Dream Villa is fully air conditioned, so you can be sure that you will remain cool in even the hottest months.

Unlike many villas which have locks on the air conditioning controls so that guests cannot access them, or which have Ivensys controls which do not allow guests to change pre-set temperatures, we feel that our guests need to be able to control the temperature themselves.

All we ask is that you do not lower the temperature below 73 degrees as this would freeze the unit and cause expensive damage to the unit itself – for which you would, of course, be liable.

WHAT ABOUT CLEANING THE VILLA?

The villa will have been cleaned and carefully prepared for your arrival by our Managers, who take personal care of our home. Extra towels and bedding are provided so you can change your beds whenever you like. There are full laundry facilities provided with a huge American washer and separate tumble drier for your use. As this is a self-catering villa we do ask that you wash towels etc as you go along, rather than leaving them all to be laundered on your departure.

On your departure the home is cleaned, and fresh bedding is put on the beds. As well as this, we personally deep clean our villa 3 or 4 times a year to ensure that it is in great condition for all our guests. 

Should guests require a mid-term clean this can be arranged for a small fee. However, it does need booking in advance.

HOW BIG IS THE SWIMMING POOL?

Our pool is one of the largest available, and we chose its design to give us the largest possible swimming area, as well as a pool which is big enough for the whole family to enjoy. It is approximately 30’ x 15’. It is regularly maintained and cleaned by a fully qualified and licenced pool technician. Please note that chlorine levels may be higher on the day it is serviced.

HOW PRIVATE IS THE SWIMMING POOL AT TROPICAL DREAM VILLA?

Our beautiful and very large pool is totally private. We have no other pool enclosures to overlook our pool and the whole of the rear of our home is fenced and beautifully tropically landscaped, giving you complete privacy and seclusion.

It does, of course, have a fine mesh pool enclosure which will keep out any troublesome bugs whilst allowing the Florida sunshine in.

DOES TROPICAL DREAM VILLA HAVE A LANAI?

Yes, Tropical Dream Villa DOES have a huge lanai, larger than most lanais, which is great if you want to escape the noonday sun. With concerns over the future health of our children it is good to have a large lanai where they can play in safety, out of the dangerous rays of the noon-day sun. There is a table and chairs should you wish to eat al fresco, too.

CAN THE POOL BE HEATED?

The pool can be heated at any time during the year and many of our guests choose to heat the pool in the summer as well. This is because the hotter the outside temperature, the cooler the pool will feel.

In the cooler months we have a pool cover which helps to maintain the temperature of the pool overnight and when you are not using it.

We also have a brand new and very efficient pool heater.

IS THERE A TELEPHONE AT THE VILLA?

There are two telephones for your use, together with an answering machine to take messages whilst you are out. Most local calls are free, and you will receive an allowance for free national and international landline phone calls. This saves you having to find a phone card, although these are available locally.

DO YOU HAVE THE INTERNET?

Yes, we provide free High Speed (Broadband) Wireless Internet Access at the villa so you can stay in touch with home or office if you bring your laptop with you. You can sit by the pool with the rest of the family and enjoy this high speed service.

Not only that but we also have a laptop at the villa which guests can use, if you don’t want to bring your own laptop.

If you need to store information or do any business work we suggest you bring your own laptop.

DO YOU PROVIDE BABY EQUIPMENT?

At Tropical Dream Villa we provide a new high chair and stroller for guests to use. We can also provide a wooden cot for small children (please note, this is not a pack and play travel cot). There is ample bedding including new sheets and blankets, plus a Baby Monitor, so you can sit on the lanai and still keep an ear open for your youngsters – we find this is very useful for older children, too, who want to be sure they can be heard if they call out. There is a changing mat as well as a changing bag for you to take with you when you go out, and there are plenty of baby bowls and plates etc.

There is a night light for nervous children and the lamp in the Disney room can be lowered to 3 levels of light in case children need a bit of extra security.

IS THERE A BBQ?

Fire Regulations prevent the use of a BBQ on the pool deck because the pool enclosure is flammable. The use of a BBQ within the pool enclosure can also seriously damage the pool deck.

A full size Gas BBQ can be rented from our Management Company for a nominal weekly sum and this includes all gas, utensils and a final clean. It is well worth booking this as there is nothing worse than having to clean a dirty BBQ at the end of your stay. The BBQ must be pre-booked and paid for in advance.

The BBQ must be used in the dedicated area outside the pool enclosure which meets the fire regulations on distance.

IS THERE A SAFE?

At Tropical Dream Villa we have provided an electronic safe for your use during your stay. You will be given your own code ready for your arrival, and only ask that you leave the door open on your departure.

DO I NEED TO BRING A HAIR DRYER?

There are two hairdryers in the villa, so you do not need to waste valuable space in your suitcase. British electrical equipment (such as hairdryers) generally does not operate efficiently in the USA as the voltage is different.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE HAVE A PROBLEM DURING OUR STAY?

In the unlikely event that there is a problem during your stay at Tropical Dream Villa, or if you need help with such things as equipment, then our manager, John is contactable 24 hours a day. Of course we respectfully ask you to only contact them during normal office hours for anything except an emergency, which will, of course be dealt with promptly.

We would also ask you to contact us, too, should you encounter a problem as we are only too pleased to help in any way we can.

HOW FAR AHEAD CAN WE BOOK TROPICAL DREAM VILLA?

Well, it’s never too early to book your chosen dates at Tropical Dream Villa, which is very popular and gets booked up early, particularly for peak dates. We also have a number of repeat guests who often book their next holiday as soon as they return home, to guarantee their chosen dates. So if you have particular dates in mind then let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you. We are happy to accept bookings for 2010, 2011 and 2012.

CAN YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS?

We are able to accept credit card payments but these will be taken in dollars. There is also a 4% service charge payable to the Management Company.

We also accept Bank Transfers into our UK Bank Account.

Whilst we are happy to accept wire transfers into our USA Bank Account, any charges incurred by our bank to receive and process such payments are the responsibility of the guest. These charges will be added to your final balance payment, or may be deducted from your Security Deposit.

WHERE CAN I HIRE A SAT NAV?

Whilst we send you detailed instructions on how to get to our villa you may wish to use a Sat Nav system during your stay if you wish to explore a wider area. We can arrange for a Sat Nav to be delivered to your UK home which will be pre-programmed with our villa address, plus all of the local attractions, as well as shops and restaurants.

This Sat Nav will be delivered to your home, pre-programmed, just before your departure and on your return you simply post it back in the pre-paid packing.

There is a small weekly rental charge for the use of the Sat Nav, but our guests have found this to be a very worthwhile service.

WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT PARK TICKETS?

This is one of our most frequently asked questions, and we always advise guest to book their tickets before they go as we can offer the widest range of tickets on the market – 60 for Disney alone.

The company we use offers great prices, is highly recommended (we use them ourselves!), is very reliable and gives great customer service. There are no hidden charges, all taxes are included and there are no charges for a credit card payment. Once you have ordered your tickets they can either be delivered to your UK address, or to the villa once you have arrived, or you can pick them up yourselves in Orlando.

We also have a wide knowledge of the parks and the other attractions and are happy to offer advice on what to buy. This means that you can make sure you buy tickets which exactly fit your requirements, and it also means you won’t make costly mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes is to overestimate what you will have time for, and if you talk to us first we will make sure that you don’t do this.

I WANT TO HIRE A CAR BUT I AM UNDER 25, WHAT CAN I DO?

It is usually very expensive to hire a car if you are under 25, and impossible if you are under 21. However, we can offer car hire to under 25’s for a small premium – you must be over 21, though. We believe you won’t get it cheaper, so why not ask us for a no-obligation quote?
